Med-Sale was a boutique yacht brokerage company with offices in the UK, Fort Lauderdale, Hong Kong and Antibes. The business was an official dealer for Birchwood as well as offering a range of second-hand vessels for sale and charter from 20-40m. The Group has subsequently been acquired and is now under new ownership.
Scope of Work
Coote & Co. was appointed to undertake a comprehensive study of the effect of EU tax legislation on the superyacht charter market in the Mediterranean. Based out of the Med-Sale offices in Antibes for a period of three months, Coote & Co. undertook research which involved historical analysis as well as a study of the potential outcomes from new VAT regulations and their likely impact on future charter bookings.
