Blohm+Voss Shipyards is universally recognised as one of the world’s leading builders of fully custom large superyachts. Well into its second century as a major German shipyard, Blohm & Voss has built some of the largest and most recognised superyachts in the world, including: Eclipse (163m), Superyacht A (119m) and Palladium (95m). In 2005, Blohm & Voss was acquired by German industrial giant ThyssenKrupp AG and in 2012, ThyssenKrupp sold the shipyard’s civilian operations to London-based private equity firm Star Capital.

Coote & Co. was appointed by Star Capital Private Equity to maximize the value of the Blohm+Voss brand through reinforcing the company’s position as one of the world’s premier superyacht builders, leading up to an eventual trade sale.
